What Should I Do?

What Should I Do? is an initiative created by Andrew McLeish and Simon Davies. Simon is the owner of Safeguarding Services and is also passionate about the safety and welfare of children and young adults.

Our vision for this project started in 2018 when we identified that there is very little support for people wanting to know how to report a serious issue involving children and young adults.

We identified that to navigate through all the legislation across all States and Territories in Australia and ensure that your reporting obligations are met, was simply impossible to do. So we created a simple but very effective application that helps guide you through the maze of the reporting to ensure that a report is made to the right person and in a timely manner.

What Should I Do? is a decision making and advice provision application (app), available on multiple electronic platforms.

When an incident occurs, What Should I Do? allows school staff, parents and students to answer a series of questions to determine what action should be taken. It ensures that schools, child care centres, hospitals and other entities are compliant with government regulations and that users have an avenue to report their allegations in a user friendly and time efficient manner.

What Should I Do? removes the ambiguity of knowing how and when to report child safety concerns. It also ensures entities reduce their risk, but most importantly identify and appropriately report child safety concerns.
